Wills That Cover What Matters | Blake Chapman, Toronto Wills Lawyer

Never made a Will before? You're in the right place.

Most first-time clients don’t know where to start. That’s normal. I didn't know either the first time I made a Will after my first daughter was born (I wasn't a Wills lawyer at the time).

The right time to get a Will is now. Life comes too fast to wait for the perfect moment when things settle down.

I’m a Toronto Wills lawyer who builds full will and estate plans, not just quick signatures.

I don’t do half-measures. Every Will I draft is part of a complete estate plan that holds up when it matters. No missing pieces. No guessing.

What Kind of Will Are You Looking For?

I work with all types of clients—from first-timers to those updating a long out-of-date Will.

Choose what fits your situation:

What You’re Getting With an Expert Wills Lawyer in Toronto

If you’ve looked at online Wills or lawyers who somehow “specialize” in six areas at once, you already know what they offer: low prices. But you get what you pay for.

They hand you documents that don’t fit your life or skip assets your Will doesn’t even control. You may not even realize it but your gut instinct says something is off.

I give you something better: a Will backed by structure, judgment, and clarity that holds up when it counts.

You’re not hiring me for paper. You’re hiring me to think ahead.

I build plans that won’t fall apart later. That means checking asset ownership, catching what your Will won’t cover (like beneficiaries and digital accounts), and steering you away from bad decisions.

This is all I do. I know what gets missed; and what works in real life.

Book a call with a lawyer who’s done this 3,500+ times and knows what matters.

My Flat-Fee Wills Process: Built for Real Life

I offer flat-fee Wills and estate planning to clients across Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. Planning is all done remotely with no hourly rates and ticking clocks.

Here’s how it works:

You don’t need to come downtown. I work remotely—by Zoom or Teams—at times that fit real schedules.

Planning is fast, clear, and built around fixed fees. No surprise bills. No "annual updates" upsell.

You get one process, built to get it done right the first time so you don’t spend years fixing mistakes.

I build Wills that hold up in real life. Not ones that need constant tweaking. Life changes and no one wants to update their Wills all the time so we make it flexible to start.

How the process works in detail →

Why Waiting Creates Bigger Problems Than Acting

People delay estate planning because it feels uncomfortable. They don’t know where to start. They’re worried they’ll get it wrong. Or they’ve convinced themselves they don’t have “enough” to make it matter.

But in Toronto, a small estate can easily include a million-dollar home. Even a basic plan without a Will can leave family members without access, without authority, and without clarity. The longer you wait, the more likely someone else is going to be forced to untangle it—under pressure, with fewer options.

You need a solid plan you can be confident in that reflects your real life.

If you’re ready to stop guessing, I’ll help you finish it properly.

Ready to get it done with a lawyer who builds Wills that actually hold up?

Flat-fee. Remote. Built on real experience.

Can I work with you even if I’m not in Toronto?

Yes. I help clients across Ontario—from big cities to rural towns. The process is the same: simple, remote, and legally solid. I am licnsed across Ontario, and you can verify my status with the Law Society of Ontario here.

You live abroad (like in the EU or US) I also offer Global Estate Planning.

Do I need to meet with a lawyer in person to make a Will in Toronto?

No. Everything I do is handled remotely—planning, drafting, and signing. You’ll meet with me by video, sign with witnesses over Zoom, and receive your final documents by Expedited Parcel or courier.

Is remote signing legal in Toronto, Ontario for Wills and Powers of Attorney?

Yes—if it’s done right. Ontario law allows video signing with specific requirements. I handle all of that for you, including providing witnesses and finalizing affidavits.

What if I want a lawyer near me for a more traditional experience?

Then I’m probably not the right fit. I work with clients who value clarity, speed, and not being dragged through long meetings or intake forms. If you’re looking for something in-person or drawn-out, you’re better off with a local office-based firm. This is especially true for elderly relatives who are not good on their with technology or need more support.

What happens after I book the intro call?

You’ll get a short call with me—no prep, no pressure. I’ll explain the steps, give you a flat-fee quote, and if you’re ready, we’ll move forward. That’s it.
