How do I make sure my kids’ inheritance is protected?
Short answer
If something happens to you, your kids won’t get their inheritance right away. Someone has to manage it until they’re older. You can stagger the ages when they receive it—but the most important part is choosing someone you trust to make good decisions along the way.
Long answer
Most parents worry their kids will blow the money. So they try to control the future: fixed ages, milestones, strict conditions. But life doesn’t follow those rules and kids won't appreciate being controlled from the grave. Your child could need more—or less—than you expected.
That’s why I don’t over-engineer the plan. I help you build a structure that works. But more importantly, I help you choose someone you trust to use judgment when it matters.
Your Will isn’t about predicting every possibility. It’s about naming someone who can adapt when life throws a curveball—disability, travel, career shifts, personal setbacks. That’s what protects your kids.
Pick someone who knows them. Who understands money. Who won’t cave to pressure—and won’t be afraid to say no when needed.
The plan is important. But the person running it? That’s what holds it up.
Don’t try to script your kids’ future. Pick someone who can handle whatever life throws at them. Book a call and get that part right.
